PROGRAMS & SERVICES - SHELTER CARE Campus providing this program: The purpose of Quakerdale's Shelter Care Program is to provide a short term, safe, nurturing environment while waiting for more permanent placement. Youth ages 11-17 reside in a cottage environment. Youth may have mental health issues, home problems, criminal problems, runaway behaviors, or may be experiencing homelessness. Quakerdale offers group and individual counseling designed to assist youth in their personal adjustment. This improves the probability that they will make healthier choices now and in the future. Evaluations are available to assess the mental health needs of children and make recommendations regarding future service needs. These include psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, chemical dependency evaluations and psychiatric/medical consultation as indicated. Information on current openings and programs is available by contacting directly one of our campuses. Quakerdale's Vision for the 21st Century: Who We Are | What's New? | Our Locations | Our History |
