PROGRAMS & SERVICES - FAMILY FOSTER CARE Campuses providing this program:
Quakerdale's Family Foster Care Program has three components: basic foster care, which provides a family setting as a placement for the child who cannot live with his or her natural family; therapeutic foster family care, which provides specially trained and experienced foster parents; and initial foster home licensing and re-licensing.
Services include placement of the child in a foster home, development of a service plan, and supportive services to the child, foster parents and biological parents. Quakerdale provides the necessary State of Iowa activities for the state to license a family for foster care.
Additional services include individual and family counseling, parent skills education for foster and natural parents, coordination of educational programming, facilitation of community services and support networks, and emergency assistance.
Quakerdale is offering a new support service called "Circle of Caring" for adoptive and foster parents in the counties we serve.
Quakerdale foster care caseworkers recruit, train and support foster families who are willing to open their homes to children ages 0 to 17 years.
Information on current openings and programs is available by contacting directly one of our campuses.
