It's not easy growing up today. Families are faced with a multitude of challenges and transitions that place great demands on their resources. In today's world, it's the rare family that is not touched by loss, divorce, stress, substance abuse, economic pressure or violence. Youth and families are referred primarily by the Iowa Department of Human Services or Iowa Juvenile Court Services. Private and out-of-state referrals are considered. For more information, contact a Quakerdale campus near you.

Quakerdale services stress individual choice and responsibility, and at the same time recognize the importance of working with the whole family whenever possible. Quakerdale also addresses spiritual needs, through exposure to Christian teachings and values, and the hope offered through a meaningful relationship with God.

70- 80% of the youth and families receiving services successfully complete their treatment objectives. Youth and parents report high satisfaction with the services provided, as do referring workers. Follow-up studies show many of the changes have been sustained.
