A group of 20 Quakerdale members of Team F.U.N. (Fundamentals U Need), a program of Kurt Warner's First Things First foundation, were special guests for "An Evening With Champions," at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids Sunday May 25. The event featured Cedar Rapids natives Kurt Warner of the Arizona Cardinals and Zach Johnson, 2007 Masters Champion. Quakerdale Team F.U.N. members met with Warner and Johnson prior to an inspirational evening during which the two men shared their improbable stories of determination and faith on the road to becoming champions.

First Things First made Quakerdale of Waterloo a Team F.U.N. partner in 2006. The program empowers young people by teaching monthly lessons based on healthy living. Membership on the 'team' requires that youth fulfill attendance, grade and behavior requirements.
