'08 Lennox/Quakerdale Event Raises Record $115,000

admin posted on December 05, 2008 07:48

The spring weather made golf impossible at Elmwood Country Club but it did not dampen the spirit of the 2008 Lennox/Quakerdale Invitational Pro-Am Golf Tournament Thursday, June 12, in Marshalltown. Lennox International's 21st year of sponsoring the event to raise funds for Quakerdale programs that help children and families was a fantastic success, raising a record $115,000.

The proceeds surpassed last year's record by an amazing $30,000, and brought the all-time total for the event to $986,180.

Presenting the check to Quakerdale Executive Director Robert Talbot (at right in picture) were Lennox Plant General Manager Parke Adamson (left) and Lennox District Sales Manager for Iowa and Nebraska Lee Eft.

Lennox officials credited the work of L-Q Golf Tournament Committee and chairman Loras Neuroth, the commitment of its employees, and the participation of its vendors and suppliers for the success of this year's event.

Date for the next Lennox-Quakerdale Invitational Pro-Am Golf Tournament has already been set for June 18, 2009
