QUAKERDALE IS REACCREDITED

Quakerdale recently received notification of reaccreditation by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services (COA), according to an announcement made by Robert Talbot, Executive Director of the organization. Quakerdale’s multi-service organization has facilities in Manning, Marshalltown, Newton, New Providence and Waterloo, with administrative offices located on the New Providence campus.

COA reaccreditation is an objective and reliable verification that provides confidence and support to an organization’s service recipients, board members, staff and community partners. The COA reaccreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of both an organization’s administrative operation and its service delivery practices. All are “measured” against national standards of best practice.  Quakerdale, first accredited in 1998, is proud to be one of more than 1,800 COA accredited private and public organizations that serve over 7,000,000 individuals and families each year.

Founded in 1977, COA is an independent, not-for-profit accreditor of the full continuum of community-based behavioral health care and human service organizations.

Quakerdale, serving the needs of children since 1851, provides a broad continuum of services including emergency shelter services, family foster care, adoption counseling, residential treatment, transitional living, day treatment, after-school programming, family counseling and residential education. Annually, Quakerdale serves over 1000 children and their families from more than one-half of Iowa’s counties.
