Mark

“I was on the Marshalltown campus in the late 1990s. More than anything Quakerdale provided me with a quiet, peaceful time to reflect on my rebellious teenage life and most importantly my broken relationship with my Mom. After nine months in the program, my Mom and I kept the peace we found in my time at Quakerdale. For the next year we got along very well and I regard my time with her as cherished. However, after a year she passed away. I was sixteen at the time. For the first time in my life I learned to use simple, basic logic. Also, the Sunday drives to church at Quakerdale got me seriously thinking about the moral obligations people have. God was planting seeds at that time that would later yield fruit as I am now studying to be a Pastor, after accepting Jesus as my savior at the age of 21. I don’t remember the names of the staff members at Quakerdale, but I want them to know I believe in the program. Thank you.”
